Items we can accept at this time...
Furniture - must be structurally sound and relatively
new-looking. Upholstered furniture cannot have any stains, tears, or pet
damage.
-Couches, chairs, bed frames
-Desks, dressers, bookcases
-Tables (kitchen, living room, bedsides, etc.)
-Antique and novelty items
-Outdoor furniture
-Mattresses (new only)
Cabinets - all drawers and doors, no facing alterations
or damage, no structural damage
-Kitchen, bathroom, commercial
Appliances - no older than 8years, no recalls or
excessive damage or missing key components
-Large kitchen and home appliances (refrigerators, dryers,
dishwashers, etc.)
-Small appliances (microwaves, toasters, blenders)
-Entertainment electronics (newer TVs, DVD players,
high-end audio equipment)
-Air Conditioners and Fireplaces
Tools
- Hand and electric tools
- Electric or push mowers
- Power tools and construction tools
Home Décor
-Decorative art, glass, pottery, frames, vases, dishes
-Wall clocks, mantle clocks, grandfather clocks
-Decorative garden items and garden furniture
Lighting - must work
-Lamps, shades, ceiling fans, chandeliers
-Track, recessed, or fluorescent lighting
Home Office
-Filing cabinets, computer keyboards, miscellaneous
Plumbing
-Toilets (low-flow only), bathtubs, sinks, faucets, pipes & fittings, showers
Hardware
-Cabinet, door, window, heating, lighting/electrical, plumbing
Building Materials
-Doors, windows, lumber, masonry/tile, carpet and carpet squares
Through a relationship with Second Use Building Materials,
The Habitat Store can accept donations of building supplies as outlined
above. Most of these items will be transferred to, and sold by, Second Use. The
donor will receive a Charitable Contribution Receipt for all items donated
and Habitat for Humanity of East King County (HFH EKC) will receive 50% of
the sales profit.
Some items that we cannot accept at this time are…
• Clothing, Linens, Bedding, Drapes, Books
• Anything that doesn't work/needs a replacement part
• Metal blinds
• Oil-based and Latex Paint, Stain, Thinners, Hazardous Materials/Chemicals
• Unframed mirrors or glass
• Appliances over 8 years old
• Microwaves & dishwashers over 8 years old
• Storm windows/single pane windows
• Computers/fax machines/copy machines
• Baby Items
• Swing sets or playground equipment
• Trampolines
• Pools
• Garage Doors or Garage Door Openers
• Exercise equipment
• Roofing
• Gas powered tools
• Vinyl products (siding, chairs, tables, etc.)
